An opinion poll conducted by the Avangarde institute between October 21 and 26 on a sample of one thousand adult citizens shows that AUR remains in the lead in preferences for the parliamentary elections in Romania with 35%. The PSD ranks in second place with 26%, while the PNL stands at 15%, USR gathers 10%, and the UDMR records 5%. The data, reported by the news outlet HotNews, indicate that SENS with 4% and SOS România with 2% would remain below the electoral threshold. The study has a maximum margin of error of 3.1% with a 95% confidence level.

A comparison with the previous survey from September highlights a narrowing of the gap between the top two political forces. AUR dropped by one point compared to the 36% recorded the previous month, while the PSD grew by three points from 23%, reducing the overall gap from thirteen to nine points. Over the same time frame, USR recorded a two percentage point increase and the PNL lost one point.

The survey also examined voters' opinions regarding the recent parliamentary vote of confidence by the PNL in favor of the Niculescu government, which is composed mainly of PSD figures while remaining in opposition. Fifty percent of respondents considered the decision rather wrong, compared to 29% in favor and 21% abstaining or undecided. On the general outlook, 78% consider the direction taken by the country to be wrong, while 16% express a positive assessment.

Among the priorities indicated for the executive, 30% mentioned increasing salaries and pensions, 21% combating corruption, and 19% reducing the deficit and debt. To reduce the budget deficit, 59% of participants suggest cutting state spending, while 20% prefer higher taxes on assets and companies. The results confirm a dynamic similar to a recent CURS survey, which attributed 34% to AUR and 26% to the PSD.
