The convoys carrying people evacuated from the town of Oleshky have separated and are currently in motion to return to Ukraine. The update on the operations was provided by the Human Rights Commissioner of the Ukrainian Parliament, Dmytro Lubinets, as reported by the news outlet Ukrainska Pravda through communications released by the authorities.

The Ukrainian official specified that the humanitarian mission continues without any recorded violations of the truce, which has reached eighty-seven consecutive hours in effect. Those wishing to leave the town were able to do so, while shipments of humanitarian aid were delivered to the area affected by interventions coordinated through the institutional channels of the two countries.

The activities are taking place within the framework of agreements reached with the Russian counterpart, represented by Human Rights Commissioner Yana Lantratova, with the support and coordination of US First Lady Melania Trump. The agreed route for the return entails the temporary passage of vehicles through the territories of Russia and Belarus before entering Ukraine.

The local truce took effect on the night of October 27 with confirmation from the Russian Ministry of Defense and will remain in force until the evening of November 1. The Ukrainian government has communicated that precise figures on the numbers of displaced persons will be made public once the evacuation is completed.
