Abdelilah Benkirane, leader of the Justice and Development Party (PJD) in Morocco, raised doubts about the results of the September parliamentary elections. On Monday, October 26, according to Hespress, he maintained that the PJD had obtained more seats than officially allocated, including the 54 and fourth place on September 23. This intervention marks a significant political stance.

The former prime minister accused the PAM, the main force in September, of having been created to exclude the PJD from politics. Benkirane admitted that internal errors (including his own) contributed to the PJD's collapse in 2021, in addition to frauds. He indicated the PAM's victory as a reflection of the PJD's decline and the international Islamist weakening.

Benkirane rejected accusations of PJD ties to drug trafficking, challenging opponents. Regarding the economy, he welcomed promises to improve purchasing power but warned that excessive spending would worsen public debt. He criticized Minister Lekjaa for attacking the opposition instead of fiscal policy.

Addressing PM Fatima Zahra El Mansouri, Benkirane defended Morocco's Islamic and monarchical foundations, stating that Moroccans desire Islam and monarchy. He accused critics of ignorance or disloyalty. Such remarks come as the PJD seeks to re-establish its influence after the 2021 defeat.
