The final game of the series took place at the Chase Center in San Francisco, where the Californian franchise, founded two years ago, completed its winning run.
The victory allowed Italy's Cecilia Zandalasini to celebrate the second championship ring of her career in the top United States professional league. As reported by RaiNews, the thirty-year-old native of Broni, in the province of Pavia, is the first female player from the peninsula to win the American tournament twice, following her previous success in 2017.
In the final match, Zandalasini tallied two points in six minutes on the court, while throughout the Finals she maintained an average of 8.5 points and 19 minutes per game. The president of Federbasket, Gianni Petrucci, highlighted the exceptional nature of the sporting achievement attained by the athlete within the national basketball landscape.
