In the tenth round of the Serie A championship, Bologna claimed their third consecutive victory by coming from behind to beat Monza 2-1 at the Renato Dall'Ara stadium. As reported by RaiNews, the team led by Raffaele Palladino managed to overturn the initial deficit, returning to a home victory after a six-month drought and reaching fourteen points in the standings.
The match unlocked quickly in the sixth minute, when a foul by Theate on Zeballos allowed Gustavo Varela to convert the penalty for the visitors' lead, moving into the sole lead of the top scorers chart with nine goals. The hosts' reaction materialized in the thirty-third minute thanks to Tommaso Pobega, who skillfully struck a left-footed volley following a corner kick.
In the second half, the hosts completed the comeback thanks to a penalty awarded for a hold by Lucchesi on Theate, noticed by referee Zanotti after an on-field monitor review. From the penalty spot, Federico Bernardeschi calmly converted the temporary two-to-one goal, steering the match in favor of the Felsinei.
In the eighty-first minute, Monza were awarded another penalty for a handball by Zortea, but goalkeeper Skorupski neutralized Patrick Cutrone's effort. Monza thus remain stuck on seven points in the standings after suffering their third consecutive defeat.
