Two general patrol officers were injured by an edged weapon during an operational inspection that took place in the village of Pjetroshan, in the territory of Malësi e Madhe. According to reports from the broadcaster RTSH based on data communicated by the police, the two inspectors were promptly transported to the hospital to receive the necessary medical care.

The incident began around 17:30, when the operations room of the Shkodër police directorate received a report from a twenty-seven-year-old motorist. The young man reported that, along the route from Hani i Hotit toward Shkodër, the driver of another vehicle had allegedly thrown gasoline onto his car near a gas station.

Following the report, officers went to the scene, intercepting and stopping the indicated vehicle near the settlement of Pjetroshan. Behind the wheel was a forty-seven-year-old German citizen, identified with the initials J. K., who resisted and refused to show his identification documents to the officers.

During the stages of the intervention aimed at restraining him, the man attacked the two inspectors, striking them with a knife before being definitively immobilized. The forty-seven-year-old was then taken to the Malësi e Madhe police station for procedural actions, while investigators continue checks to reconstruct the dynamics of the events.
