In Lezha, works have begun for the construction of a new pedestrian area, part of a program to redevelop the urban fabric. The news of the start of the interventions was reported by the Albanian media outlet RTSH, which cited statements shared on social media by Prime Minister Edi Rama. The project aims to strengthen local infrastructure and expand open spaces.

The approved project entails the creation of an equipped pedestrian path, enriched with green zones and facilities dedicated to recreational activities for different age groups. For the realization of this construction site, a total allocation of 62 million lek has been allocated, resources assigned to establish a more functional and accessible urban context for both local residents and tourists.

According to what was expressed by the head of the executive, the plan will transform the urban layout by offering more usable surfaces to the citizens. The initiative is part of a framework of interventions jointly promoted by central authorities and local administrations to foster community sociality and encourage opportunities for public entertainment in the city.

Institutional officials also specified that this construction site constitutes only a section of a broader program of territorial changes. In parallel with the creation of the pedestrian path, authorities will proceed with further infrastructural works to renew the entire urban profile of Lezha and improve the general quality standards of the public network.
