The alleged drug trafficking leader, known as the «Hashish Tiger», was arrested in Tangier on October 8, after months on the run. Spanish authorities identified the suspect, Juan Carlos T. B., alias «El Moreno». The arrest occurred thanks to cooperation between Moroccan and Spanish law enforcement, who accuse him of directing a vast drug trafficking network.

The international operation led to 86 additional arrests in Spain. Among these, 65 arrests were registered in Madrid, 10 in Guadalajara, and five in Valencia, with another six distributed across four provinces. Eighteen of the suspects in Spain were placed in pre-trial detention, demonstrating the broad scope of the coordinated police action.

Spanish investigators accuse Juan Carlos T. B. of leading one of the country's largest hashish networks, presumably responsible for transporting drugs from Morocco to Spain for distribution throughout Europe. The operation allowed for the seizure of 10.8 tons of hashish and 20 kilograms of marijuana, a significant blow to illicit trafficking.

Currently, Juan Carlos T. B. remains in custody in Morocco, awaiting extradition to Spain to face the charges against him. Spanish authorities stated that the investigation is still open and do not rule out further arrests or future seizures, signaling the persistence of their commitment against drug trafficking. This was reported by the newspaper Hespress.
